With an AGM (piano cast iron), which I cut when it gets too hot (July and August), I had a plate of the booster, and I'm delighted because it heats up quickly, has several programs (which work really well), a timer of two hours, short but good. I even used a big cast iron pot and the different settings allowed me to achieve what I longed for. The noise is that of a small fan and is not really a problem. Has recommend definitely, especially for a studio student, although a bit more expensive than an electric plate, but does not stay hot too long (the principle of magnetic induction...) The fan is noisy. Clearly the manufacturers do not make any effort on this point. The lights flash when the unit is out of service. It would have been more logical if it were the reverse or, better, that all the lights are turned off when the device is. Very satisfied. Important Point : the connection of the pipes is screw-on, unlike other cheaper products, that allows the utisation pipes new standards.
